I am an artist and cultural/environmental worker. I make paintings, plan community projects, and drawings of gas pumps. The images below depict my Pump Me Up series. Their execution echoes toiling techniques in traditional artworks that often depict our most prized possessions and most stunning visuals of nature. Here, our source of energy is represented with a bit of irony - this banal object so tediously depicted and all it has become to embody.
