This work is from a series of large photographs called 'Playing Grown Up'. Using miniature dolls and sets placed on fairy tale backdrops I created narratives drawn on personal history and socio/political commentary.
The contradiction of good and evil inherent in fairy tales makes a perfect backdrop for the narratives that are not what they seem to be at first glance.
Printed on archival rag paper, the photos have the lush feeling of paintings.
